Your new company
Our client is a well-established provider of specialist services to the mining and resources sector, supporting some of WA's largest operations. Known for their collaborative culture and commitment to delivering outstanding service, they are seeking a Resource Planning Officer to join their team in a permanent full-time capacity. Role available in Belmont.
Your new role
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating workforce requirements across multiple projects and maintenance programmes. This office-based position offers the opportunity to work closely with operations teams, ensuring personnel are effectively allocated and projects remain fully resourced.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining workforce schedules and rosters
  • Coordinating personnel across internal and external labour pools
  • Allocating employees based on availability, skills, and project requirements
  • Maintaining resource forecasts to support upcoming operational demand
  • Monitoring workforce availability and adjusting schedules as priorities change
  • Liaising with mobilisation and compliance teams to ensure workforce readiness
  • Producing workforce reports and planning insights
  • Managing leave balances and assisting with payroll and invoicing approvals
  • Communicating scheduling updates and workforce risks to key stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling, mobilisation, logistics coordination, or a similar role
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using workforce management or scheduling systems will be highly regarded
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused approach
