Event Support Hire
- Provide onsite tech support during the festival.
- Set up and test POS equipment for stalls before opening.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during trading hours.
About the role
You’ll be part of our onsite tech support team at the festival. Before gates open, you’ll set up and test the POS equipment so every stall is ready to trade. During trading, you’ll be the go-to person when something isn’t working. You’ll fix what you can on the spot and pass anything bigger to our remote support team.
What you’ll be doing
- Setting up and testing iPads, card readers, printers and network equipment at each stall
- Checking every stallholder is logged in, has the right menu and can take card payments before opening
- Walking the site during trading to fix login, menu, connection, printer and payment issues
- Swapping out faulty devices and keeping track of all equipment
- Passing bigger issues to NOQ’s remote support team with clear notes
- Packing down and counting all equipment at the end of the event
Shifts
The event runs from Tuesday 22 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027 (22-23 Dec and 27 Dec – 3 Jan) and is closed on the Christmas Days. We’re building a roster of staggered shifts across the event. That covers setup before opening, overlapping shifts through trading hours, and pack-down at close. Shifts run up to 10 hours, with breaks. Some shifts fall on weekends, Boxing Day (observed Monday 28 December), New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. You don’t need to be available every day: tell us which days suit you and we’ll build the roster around our team.
We vet all employer accounts and do our best to keep job ads safe, but scams can still occur. Be cautious when sharing personal information — never provide financial details or make payments during the application process. For extra security, use the Apply button on our site when proceeding.
