THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this is a newly structured General Manager role bringing together two important portfolios: People Capability and AI Workforce Strategy & Enablement. Leading through two experienced Heads of function, you will be responsible for creating a cohesive strategy that connects leadership development, organisational capability, strategic workforce planning and AI-enabled workforce transformation.
A key priority will be translating the organisation’s strategic workforce plan into practical, commercially focused initiatives that the business can understand and deliver. You will play a significant role in shaping how AI changes the way work is performed, identifying future capability requirements and ensuring the organisation is equipped to manage the transition responsibly.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong engagement across the Executive Leadership Team and Board. You will bring together established areas of expertise, create alignment across the portfolio and drive meaningful change across the organisation. With the business entering the next phase of its operating model transformation, there is a real opportunity to shape the direction of this function and deliver measurable outcomes.
THE CRITERIA
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced senior leader who brings a strong combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen and the ability to lead complex organisational change. You will have a broad understanding of organisational capability, strategic workforce planning, operating model design and the impact emerging technologies are having on the future of work.
You do not need to be a technical AI specialist, however you will bring genuine curiosity and a strong understanding of how AI can be applied to improve productivity, redesign work and build future workforce capability. Your background may be within People & Culture, organisational transformation, workforce strategy or a related discipline where you have led significant enterprise-wide initiatives.
Importantly, you will be a confident and engaging leader with the ability to influence at executive and Board level, challenge thinking and bring people together around a shared direction. You will combine intellectual curiosity with strong emotional intelligence and have the commercial judgement to turn complex strategies into practical business outcomes.
