KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Lead and develop a team of automotive sales specialists.
  • Drive sales performance and improve customer outcomes.
  • Build relationships with dealer partners and identify new commercial opportunities.

An established and growing automotive business is seeking an experienced State Manager to lead sales performance across NSW and the ACT.

Based in Brisbane, this hands-on leadership role combines team development, commercial accountability, technology-enabled sales management and regional business growth.

You will lead a team of automotive sales specialists, improve customer outcomes, strengthen sales conversion and build productive relationships with dealer partners across the territory.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of automotive sales specialists.
  • Drive sales volume, revenue, conversion and profitability outcomes.
  • Coach team members through regular performance, call and deal reviews.
  • Monitor pipelines, response times, conversion rates and ageing opportunities.
  • Use CRM systems, dashboards and reporting to identify performance gaps.
  • Improve forecasting, follow-up standards and sales discipline.
  • Support complex or high-value customer opportunities where required.
  • Build strong relationships with dealership groups and external partners.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities across NSW and the ACT.
  • Work with internal teams to improve systems, processes and customer experience.

About You

You will be an experienced sales leader who knows how to improve results through people, process and technology. You will bring:

  • At least five years’ experience leading a sales team of five or more people.
  • Proven accountability for sales, revenue, conversion or profitability targets.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and performance management capability.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines from enquiry through to completion.
  • Confidence using CRM systems, reporting tools and digital sales platforms.
  • Strong commercial judgement, forecasting and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel across NSW and the ACT.

Experience within automotive retail, dealerships, OEM, fleet, new vehicle sales or automotive marketplaces will be highly regarded.

Why Consider This Role?

This is an opportunity to step beyond a traditional dealership sales management role and take ownership of a large, commercially important territory.

You will have genuine influence over team performance, customer outcomes, dealer relationships and regional growth while working within a technology-led automotive business continuing to invest in its people, systems and national network.
