About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to implement and manage the company's HR and workplace health and safety (WHS) functions.

This is a newly created part-time role where you will take ownership of building the business's HR and safety systems, processes and procedures.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and manage HR and WHS systems across the business
  • Audit and manage safety equipment, processes and procedures 
  • Investigate workplace incidents and maintain accurate WHS records and reporting
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and safety inductions for new staff
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and staff on policies, employee relations and compliance

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an HR, WHS or combined HR/WHS role
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures
  • Experience in the electrical, construction or trades industry (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with staff at all levels
  • Proactive, adaptable and organised approach within a growing business
