Payroll Manager - Perth 
Hybrid Working | Up to 3 Days Working from Home

Are you an experienced Payroll Manager looking for your next leadership opportunity?

We're partnering with a well-established, values-led organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a national payroll function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-driven business where you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll excellence, driving process improvements and leading a high-performing team.

Reporting to the senior finance leadership team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll delivery across a multi-site organisation.

Working closely with Finance, HR and senior stakeholders, you'll provide expert payroll guidance while identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of accurate and timely payroll processing across the organisation.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Oversee payroll reconciliations, reporting and statutory obligations including superannuation and PAYG.
  • Manage payroll systems, controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a small payroll team.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance, HR and operational stakeholders.
  • Monitor legislative changes and implement payroll updates where required.
  • Support audits and ensure payroll data integrity and compliance.

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Extensive payroll leadership experience within a medium to large organisation.
  • Proven experience managing and developing payroll teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to payroll accuracy.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (HR3 and Humanforce experience is advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience within the not-for-profit, education or community services sectors will be highly regarded.
