LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB

As our Facilities Compliance and Projects Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our Main Works Depot and Administration Centre facilities remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Working as part of the Facilities Management team, you will coordinate statutory and compliance inspections across critical assets including lifts, automatic doors, electric gates, fire and emergency systems, security equipment.

You will use your knowledge of legislation, codes, standards and workplace health and safety requirements to guide practical outcomes, manage corrective actions and support the delivery of approved works. This role also involves reviewing recommendations from inspections and maintenance activity, handling quotes, identifying priorities and managing budgets within your area of responsibility.

No two days will look the same. You may be supporting contractors and tradespeople on site, coordinating environmental management activities, assisting with facility-related incidents and hazards, contributing technical advice on repair works or helping shape outcomes for the Administration Centre reconstruction project.

Our ideal candidate is confident, organised and solutions-focused, with strong facilities compliance knowledge and the ability to build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. You will be comfortable working between office and operational environments, interpreting technical information, managing competing priorities and communicating clearly with contractors, colleagues and decision-makers.

You will bring experience in building services, facility safety and compliance, along with project management capability, sound judgement and strong attention to detail. Your stakeholder management skills will help you consult effectively, coordinate multiple priorities and deliver outcomes that support safe, compliant and efficient facilities for our organisation.
