About the role 

 Mercy Community has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor tojoin our People and Culture Team on a permanent full-time basis at our corporate office in Nudgee.

 $85,000-$90,0000 plus superannuation and generous salary packaging available.

This role involves but not limited to -

  • Support all stakeholders in the interpretation of and adherence to applicable industrial instruments, policies procedures and processes, and best practice.
  • Assist in the review and development of people-related policies, procedures, practices, and processes as required, ensuring alignment to legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Assist the HR function in the timely execution of HR matters and the collation of documentation. 
  •  Provide practical HR advice and support to line management including position descriptions and classification as per the relevant industrial instrument.
  • Provide back up support to the HR Business Partners in times of absence.
  •  In conjunction with the L&D team and the HRBPs, develop and execute training modules to ensure internal stakeholder have a full understanding of HR procedures.
  • Work with external HRIS provider and IDT to solve HRIS and Pay System Integration Issues.
  • Assist in Return to Work and Injury Management as required and provide back up support in times of absence. 

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or five plus years in a similar role.
  •  Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply a range of industrial agreements, providing accurate advice to stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR strategies and practices, including strong performance management and employee relations experience.
