About the Role
As a Host you are responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers. You are responsible to assist with receiving guests in the hotel's restaurants, manage the inventory of the outlet and assist the service staff whenever necessary.
Some of the responsibility include:
•Allocation of tables / seating to ensure requests are met and evenly distributed.
•Assist in the supervision of associates assigned to your team.
•To have full working knowledge to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned department to the standards set in the Operations Manual.
•General cashiering duties; responsible for collection and depositing of cash floats, cashiering of dockets, cash and credit card balancing to Maximal, and depositing of the shifts takings to the general cashier.
•To have a thorough understanding of all items on the menu.
Qualifications
•Previous Food & Beverage experience in hotel environment or similar fast-paced environment
•A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
•Exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills
•Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team
•The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5 star grooming standards
•The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
