Set against the backdrop of Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Oval Hospitality delivers exceptional culinary experiences across the Oval Hotel, corporate hospitality, major sporting events, conferences and large-scale functions. Our artisan bakery plays a vital role in producing high-quality breads and pastries that support our diverse food and beverage operations.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced full-time Baker to join our Bakery team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled baker who enjoys working with traditional artisan techniques while contributing to one of Australia’s most recognised hospitality destinations. Working alongside the Head Baker, you’ll help produce exceptional baked products that are enjoyed across multiple hospitality outlets and events.

What you will be doing

• Prepare and produce a range of handcrafted artisan breads and bakes goods.
• Follow daily productions schedules to ensure products are prepared efficiently and delivered on time.
• Monitor baking processes and adjust oven temperatures, baking times and ingredients to achieve consistent quality.
• Ensure all products meet established standards for quality, flavour, texture and presentation.
• Assist with day-to-day operation of the bakery and provide guidance to the junior bakery team members when required.
• Cleaning of equipment and cleaning up after production. 

To be successful in this role, you will have

• Previous experience as a Baker within a commercial bakery, hotel, hospitality venue or high-volume food production environment.
• Relevant trade qualifications in baking or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience producing artisan breads and baked products using traditional baking methods.
• Sound understanding of dough preparation, fermentation processes and baking techniques.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for baking.

Applications

This is a hands-on bakery position requiring flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, public holidays and other rostered shifts to meet production requirements.
