- One Stop Roadhouse Donnybrook & Restaurant is currently seeking a qualified Full Time Cook to join our friendly team.
- We are looking for experienced and dedicated Cook who is committed to exceeding our customers' expectations and can cook Aussie and Indian dishes. The eligible candidates will be performing the following duties:
- • Prepare and cook a wide range of Aussies food items and authentic Indian dishes, including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, tandoori and curry dishes.
- • Prepare menu items using various cooking methods, including grilling, frying, steaming, roasting and sautéing.
- • Ensure food quality, taste, consistency and presentation meet restaurant standards.
- • Monitor cooking processes and adjust seasoning, flavours and cooking times as required.
- • Portion, plate and present dishes according to restaurant specifications.
- • Prepare marinades, sauces, gravies and other ingredients for daily kitchen operations.
- • Assist with menu planning, recipe development and introducing new dishes.
- • Maintain appropriate food storage, refrigeration, freezing and preservation procedures.
- • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering ingredients and coordinate with suppliers.
- • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
- To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
- Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service
- 2 + years of proven kitchen experience in a busy environment
- Qualifications in commercial cookery- Cert III or higher
- Flexible availability
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Overall knowledge of operations, ordering, stock control and working to budgets
- Salary: $80000 plus super or higher depending on experience.
