Contracts Manager
- Provide commercial support to project teams across contracts, variations and claims.
- Manage BAU commercial relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Lead commercial negotiations on variations, renewals and claims as required.
Connect People are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a contract role based in Cremorne, Melbourne.
Our client is one of Australia's largest infrastructure services providers, delivering essential services across telecommunications, utilities, transport and defence.
The Details
- $550 - $800 per day + Super (dependent on experience)
- Hybrid working arrangement. Monday to Friday 38 hours per week.
- Contract until 31st December 2026 with potential to extend
- Office located 500m from Richmond Station
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing commercial support to project teams across contracts, variations and claims
- Devising and leading claim strategies for potential and imminent disputes
- Managing BAU commercial relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Leading commercial negotiations on variations, renewals and claims as required
- Driving compliance with statutory requirements including the Security of Payment Act
- Onboarding supply chain partners including preparation and negotiation of subcontracts
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risk across projects
- Contributing to revenue assurance initiatives to minimise revenue leakage
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years experience in commercial and contract management
- Solid understanding of contract and construction law
- Proven track record delivering commercial outcomes at an operational level
- Experience in construction and/or telecommunications highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder and client-facing skills
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
