Parathe Wali Gali Adelaide is Looking for Experienced Chef & Cook for their Sefton Park Restaurant

This is Full time Position

You must have Australian Qualifications & Atleast One year of Commercial Kitchen Experience (Specially Indian Cuisine).

Key responsibilities

Prepare, cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards

Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety in all kitchen operations

Manage food preparation from raw ingredients through to finished dishes

Monitor and control portion sizes to minimise waste and maintain cost efficiency

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service during busy periods

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations and kitchen equipment

Follow all food safety regulations and company policies consistently

Assist with menu development and suggest new dishes or improvements to existing offerings

Stock and rotate ingredients appropriately to ensure freshness and quality

Respond to feedback from management and adapt cooking techniques as required

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hospitality setting

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen safety standards

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently during peak service times

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Good communication skills and willingness to take direction from management

Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential with strong practical experience)

Food handling and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain one

Flexibility with shift patterns, including potential weekend and evening work
