- Responsible for liaising with the community as part of the response hotline.

- Attractive pay rate of $37.50 - $40.00 per hour plus Super
- Hours: 9.5 hours per day (including a 30-minute lunch break)
- Roster: 57 hours per week, operating on 6 days on, 1 day off roster. Standard hours are 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Can be based anywhere in NSW. You will need to have a proper work setup to be able to work remotely in this role.
Purpose of the role
As part of the Public Information Unit, you will be responsible for liaising with community as part of the response hotline. The role involves managing enquiries, providing clear public information, recording accurate data, escalating issues and supporting effective response activities in a fast-paced government environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain currency with hotline scripts and response information.
- Communicate with members of the community and accurately record conversations and actions taken.
- Enter quality data into response management systems, including hotline event logs.
- Identify and report issues that may impact response activities, including WHS incidents.
Essential Requirements
- Experience relevant to the role, including community engagement, customer service, contact centre, or similar environments.
- Broad knowledge of NSW agriculture and associated industries and stakeholders would be preferred.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to deliver public information in a high-pressure and rapidly changing environment while adhering to government communication policies.
