Supervising/training employees of a lower grade
General cleanliness of the work area
Main Duties:
• Supervising and training food and beverage attendants of a lower grade
• Taking reservations and greeting guests
• Preparing and mixing a range of such as various coffee types
• Control counter/bar inventory
• Taking orders
• Preparing garnishes
• Cleaning coffee counter areas
• Cleaning and care of glasses, cups and equipment
• Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures
• Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer
Financial:
• Receipt and dispensing of all monies
• Reconciliation of transactions Customer Service:
• Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
• Offer assistance to customers
• Promote the employer’s services and facilities to customers when appropriate
• Make customers feel welcome
• Assist in maintaining customer service standards set by the employer
• Ensure your work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness

Stock control
Ensuring customers are served in a professional and timely manner in food &
beverage
Exercising patron care
Balancing cash registers
Main Duties:
• Supervision, training and coordination of food and beverage employees
• Entry/supervision of entries in accounting records required to be kept and
maintained under the relevant Act
• Preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials
• Keeping café, tables, chairs and all areas clean
• Clearing of tables, cleaning and keeping café tidy.•
• Taking food & beverage orders, reservations, greeting and seating guests
• Using the POS and EFTPOS machine
• Maintain stock control
• practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures
• Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer

Responsibilities
The preparation and cooking of traditional ethno-specific food – Singapore/Malaysia Cuisine
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
2. Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment\Preparing and
cooking ethno-specific food in accordance with traditional methods specific to a
region or culture
3. Seasoning food during cooking
4. Portioning food, placing it on plates
5. Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
6. Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
7. May plan menus and estimate food requirements and costing
8. Train other kitchen staff and apprentices in ethno-specific cooking methods and
techniques.
Qualifications and employment experience
At least a relevant AQF Certificate III (including 2 years of on the job training), or AQF
Certificate IV obtained in Australia and
One year of full-time work experience or
Relevant overseas qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate IV and 2 years of full-time
work experience or three years of full-time work experience
Demonstrated skills and knowledge of traditional cooking methods and techniques
