Assistant Operations Manager | Stadium Events

The Venue
Merivale at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Alliance Stadium is the ‘Exclusive Hospitality Experience Partner’.
Merivale has proudly taken the helm of the multiple outlets across the stadiums. This includes the casual retail for all ‘grab and go’ to the high-end suites and corporate boxes dotted around the stadiums. This truly diverse offering continues across the many functions and event rooms housed within the multipurpose complexes.
You will find Merivale’s celebrated executives chefs Jordan Toft (mimi’s, Bert’s Bar & Brasserie), Dan Hong ( Ms G’s & Mr Wong), Mike Egget (Totti’s), Ben Greeno (The Paddington, Hotel Centennial) and Vincenzo Biondini (Vinnie’s Pizza) bring their expertise into a stadium setting.
The Role
As we continue to grow, we have an opportunity for an experienced events professional to join the team, hospitality experience is a must. This is an exciting prospect for someone who is passionate about hospitality and wants to be part of a thriving and diverse team, delivering the best event experiences in the industry.
Main accountabilities include:
- Leadership and supervision of the floor operations team, ensuring the team deliver exceptional experiences at every stage of the guest’s journey.
- Passion for product. Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver consistency around all aspects of food and beverage.
- Promoting a healthy working environment for the team – enjoyable, educational, results-focused and respectful.
- Strong attention to detail and maintenance of venue presentation - every little detail matters.
You will have:
- Event floor management experience running medium to large-scale events and floor teams.
- A passionate go-getter attitude with a great eye for detail.
- Strong leadership qualities with the skills to assist in managing a team of 100+ casual workforce.
