About the role
We are seeking experienced administration and service delivery professionals at the APS3 level to be engaged as an Administration Officer with our Commonwealth Government client in Perth, WA. The successful candidate will provide delivery of a broad range of administrative support services to the legal practice groups.
 
An initial 3-month labour hire contract is on offer, with the possibility of an extension.

Please note: the successful candidate must be an Australian citizen with a minimum Baseline security clearance.

Duties:

  • Create, manage and maintain case files, records, data entry and document processing.
  • Draft emails, routine correspondence and documents using templates.
  • Coordinate witnesses, prepare summons/subpoenas, and arrange court-related travel and logistics.
  • Prepare, lodge, collect and file court materials.
  • Conduct basic research and arrange videoconferencing, interpreters and translators.
  • Provide efficient administrative support, advice on systems, processes and service delivery.
  • Resolve routine queries, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute to team and organisational objectives.
  • Liaise with Federal Prosecutors, courts, counsel, external agencies and stakeholders.

Requisite skills/experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience delivering a broad range of support services within a government and/or legal environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and provide advice in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ability to adapt flexibly and respond positively to change.
  • Strong capability to build and maintain positive, professional stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as a reliable and engaged team member.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve issues using established processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
