Yard Hand
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely in a busy yard.
- Ensure accurate material handling and maintain yard cleanliness.

Work with a small team of talented operators in a busy yard. You will be responsible for the safe handling of steel using overhead cranes and forklifts. This position is mixed indoor and outdoors, and requires long sleeve PPE.
Duties include:
- Operating forklifts (counterbalance and multidirectional side loaders)
- Checking material logs to ensure order accuracy
- Picking and staging steel products for dispatch
- moving steel products from production to racking (up to 20m lengths)
- Ensuring yard stays clean and tidy
Shifts:
Day shifts are Monday - Friday 5/6:00 - 2:30pm, with reasonable overtime.
About you:
- Proven experience working in a similar environment
- VALID FORKLIFT TICKET (MANDATORY)
- Experience with ugly freight - steel, wood etc (most loads are not straight or on pallets)
- experience with a side loading/multidirectional forklift is a plus
- Comfortable working outside
- Adaptable to new procedures and environments
