Full time

~$90k - $120k(Estimated)
KEY POINTS WE FOUND
  • Manage and improve wholesale systems and processes for a growing Australian brand.
  • Lead the migration to a new wholesale platform and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee onboarding for major retail accounts and ensure compliance with vendor requirements.

Our client, a well-loved Australian consumer brand with a growing wholesale business, is creating a brand new role to become the backbone of its wholesale function. Its current systems were built for e-commerce, not wholesale, and the business needs a systems-minded operator to fix that properly.

This is a role with real ownership. You will diagnose the issues, recommend the solution, secure sign-off from the leadership team, implement it and then run it.

Reporting to the Head of Wholesale, you will have the autonomy to shape how the function operates for years to come.

What you will be doing
Wholesale systems (your focus for the first six months)

  • Review the current tech stack (Shopify, SPS Commerce and Cin7) and identify where manual processes and data errors are costing time
  • Run a tender process across leading wholesale platforms such as NuOrder, Joor and Brandscope, then build a clear recommendation for the CEO and leadership team
  • Lead the migration and implementation of the new platform, then own its day-to-day performance
  • Improve how the EDI and ERP work together to reduce manual data entry
  • Lead the set-up of a new CRM

New account onboarding

  • Own end-to-end onboarding for major multi-door retail accounts
  • Review retailer vendor manuals covering packaging, labelling, hang tags and delivery requirements, and confirm the warehouse can meet them
  • Coordinate sign-off across finance, legal, supply chain and senior leadership
  • Manage ethical sourcing and compliance documentation, including modern slavery, sustainability and factory standards
  • Ensure every new account is fully set up across all systems before trading begins

Wholesale project management
Once systems and onboarding are running smoothly, you will become the go-to person for operational projects across the wholesale function.

About you

  • Solid experience in wholesale operations, with a clear understanding of how wholesale differs from DTC and e-commerce
  • Hands-on, back-end experience with EDI and ERP systems; wholesale platform experience (NuOrder, Joor, Brandscope or similar) is highly regarded
  • A track record of evaluating, selecting or implementing new systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail. You are comfortable in the data, you read the fine print and you enjoy getting processes exactly right
  • Confident presenting recommendations to senior leaders and gaining sign-off
  • Experience in footwear, apparel or consumer goods is a bonus, but not essential

Why apply

  • A newly created role where you will build the systems and processes from the ground up
  • Direct exposure to the CEO and leadership team
  • The chance to lead a high-impact platform migration and see it through
  • A growing Australian brand with a strong retail presence
