Rural Northwest Health is committed to achieving the best health for the Wimmera and Mallee community. Warracknabeal campus is one of three campuses and provides a comprehensive range of acute, urgent care, aged care, community health and allied services. Warracknabeal campus is located, a short distance from Warracknabeal’s central business district and approximately halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.

Rural Northwest Health is seeking a Campus Manager to lead its Warracknabeal campus. Reporting directly to the Executive Manager Clinical Services, the Warracknabeal Campus Manager is a key senior leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of the campus, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services that meet community needs as close to home as possible. The role leads, supports, and develops staff to foster a positive, professional, and high-performing team culture, while engaging with the local community to understand healthcare needs and expectations. The Campus Manager is accountable for identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, overseeing strategic initiatives aligned with Rural Northwest Health’s Strategic Plan, and ensuring operational excellence, with performance monitored through regular reviews.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse with (with current AHPRA registration), experience in a management and leadership role
  • Post-Graduate qualification (or working towards same) in Management and/or clinical specialty such as Gerontology/Rural Health or Emergency Nursing
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams through a change process to deliver safe, high quality and innovative health care
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partnering with community members, residents, client, and patients
  • Ability to lead the implementation of Aged Care and National Standards accreditation systems and continuous improvement projects
  • Demonstrated experience in budgetary management within relevant funding models Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Understanding of opportunities and challenges associated with providing rural health care services
  • Flu vaccination evidence
  • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Current and valid Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
