The Company
This well-established food manufacturing business supplies fresh products to major supermarkets, retailers and food service customers across Australia. Operating from a large production facility with over 250 employees on site, they have built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and customer service.
Due to an internal vacancy, they are now looking to appoint a Warehouse Team Leader to support the day-to-day operation of their warehouse and dispatch function.
The Role
In this role you will lead a small warehouse team working the earlies shift, Monday to Friday 6am-2pm. Although leading the team you will still be hands-on in daily operations. You will be responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing stock, supporting warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring customer orders are dispatched on time.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who is willing to jump in, solve problems and support the team when things get busy. The warehouse can be fast-paced and unpredictable at times, particularly during shift handovers and delivery periods, so adaptability and a positive attitude are essential.
Duties:
• Lead a small team of 3 warehouse operators
• Coordinate daily warehouse and dispatch activities
• Provide hands-on operational support
• Work closely with production, receiving and dispatch teams
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Experience using WMS, RF scanners or inventory management systems
