We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Distribution Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations while leading a small team to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of inventory. This is a hands-on leadership role combining warehousing, inventory management, logistics coordination, and staff supervision.The successful candidate will have strong warehouse experience, a proactive leadership style, and the ability to drive operational performance while maintaining excellent inventory accuracy and customer service standards.
Your new role:
- Lead and supervise day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities.
- Coordinate picking, packing, and dispatch of products.
- Manage receipting and processing of incoming stock and goods.
- Oversee inventory control, cycle counting, stock takes, and stock adjustments.
- Maintain warehouse location management and stock accuracy within the WMS.
- Utilise SAP and RF scanning systems to manage inventory movements.
- Plan and coordinate freight movements, load planning, and transport bookings.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and ensure operational targets are achieved.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to warehouse team members.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and service levels.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Full Australian working rights Long term Darwin plans.
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Distribution Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Experience managing warehouse inventory and warehouse management systems.
- SAP experience is highly regarded, but training can be provided.
- Experience using RF scanners and handheld warehouse technology.
- Strong computer literacy and experience using logistics and freight management portals.
- Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counts, stock adjustments, and warehouse processes.
- Proven leadership ability with experience supervising warehouse personnel.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
