Casual Storeperson – Distribution Centre (Yatala)
Prices Plus is a discount variety retailer, and our Yatala distribution centre looks after the supply chain for all our stores. We’re on the look-out for a reliable casual storeperson to join our warehouse crew—with the option for it to turn into a permanent position for the right person.
The job
Our warehouse operates Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, and shifts are rostered within those hours. You’ll be working in a small, hands-on team where no two days are a carbon copy, but generally, you’ll be:
- Unloading shipping containers
- Receiving and checking off incoming stock
- Storing stock away accurately
- Picking store orders
- Packing cartons and building pallets ready for dispatch
About you
- You hold a current LF forklift licence (this is a must-have)
- You’re physically fit and don’t mind heavy lifting, carrying, and container unloading
- You take safety seriously following procedures, wearing your PPE, and speaking up if something isn’t right
- You have a keen eye for detail because our stores rely on getting exactly what they ordered
- You’re reliable, punctual, and show up when you’re supposed to
- You have decent reading, writing, and math skills
- You’re comfortable using a computer and handheld RF scanners
