Used Car Sales Manager (AC8248)

A well-established multi-franchise automotive group on the Sunshine Coast is strengthening its focus on used vehicles and is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager to lead a dedicated operation in Maroochydore.

The department is already producing around 40 vehicles per month, but the opportunity is considerably bigger. With its own location, dedicated sales resources and strong backing from senior management, the objective is to build the operation beyond 50 units per month while maintaining healthy gross returns.

This is first and foremost a retail leadership position. You’ll lead the sales floor, drive activity, coach the team and ensure opportunities are converted effectively.

You’ll also maintain oversight of the day-to-day flow of stock, ensuring vehicles move efficiently through roadworthy, detailing and preparation. Experience with appraisals, buying, stock ageing and broader used-car operations will add significant value.

There is an existing team of three sales consultants, giving you an immediate platform to work from while building stronger consistency and accountability across the department.

The successful candidate will understand that used-car performance is about more than chasing volume. You’ll know how to balance stock turn, gross profit, aged inventory and team productivity while keeping the customer experience front and centre.

An indicative retainer around $75K–$80K has been discussed, together with a company vehicle and performance incentives. Depending on experience and results, expected total earnings are approximately $150K–$200K.
