Truck Driver (HR) – Full-Time Perth Transport Group | Malaga, Perth WA $79,500 per annum + superannuation

Perth Transport Group, trading as Perth Moving Company, is seeking an experienced Truck Driver for a permanent full-time position based at our Malaga depot.

The role involves operating a heavy rigid truck to transport furniture, kitchen cabinetry and commercial goods throughout Perth and occasionally regional Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate a manual HR truck safely and efficiently.
• Plan routes and meet collection and delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report vehicle faults or maintenance requirements.
• Check that loads are safely positioned, secured and within vehicle weight limits.
• Complete delivery paperwork, vehicle inspection records and other required documentation.
• Comply with road rules, fatigue management requirements and workplace safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch and other team members.
• Assist with loading and unloading, including operating the truck’s tail lift and handling goods safely.

Essential requirements

• Current HR driver’s licence or higher.
• At least 1 year of relevant truck-driving experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing workplace drug and alcohol testing.
• Sound knowledge of safe heavy-vehicle operation and load restraint.
• Reliable attendance and good time-management skills.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with deliveries.
• Availability for varying start and finish times and reasonable overtime.

Employment conditions

• Permanent full-time position with 38 ordinary hours per week.
• Base salary of $79,500 per annum, excluding superannuation.
• Superannuation paid in addition to the base salary.
• Applicable overtime, penalty rates and allowances.
• Paid annual leave and personal/carer’s leave.
