Supporting the maintenance and performance of critical traffic technology and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), you'll play an important role in enabling works that keep millions of road users moving safely every day.
About the Role

As a Traffic Planner, you will coordinate traffic management requirements that support maintenance, fault response and project works across Victoria's road network. Working closely with operational teams, traffic management providers and key stakeholders, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly and with minimal disruption to road users.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic management requirements for maintenance, inspections, fault response and minor works.
• Manage road occupancy permits, lane closure bookings, access approvals and stakeholder notifications.
• Prepare and review traffic management plans, risk assessments and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with traffic management providers to ensure resources and equipment are available to support scheduled works.
• Support operational teams by identifying access constraints, network restrictions and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate urgent traffic management arrangements for emergency and safety-critical works.
• Build strong relationships with road authorities, councils, contractors and client representatives.

About You

• Experience in traffic planning, traffic management coordination or infrastructure delivery environments.
• Knowledge of Victorian road occupancy permits access approvals and traffic management requirements.
• Experience working in live road, freeway or transport infrastructure environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
