Blacktown City Council is seeking temporary Workshop Trades Assistants to support the maintenance of Council vehicles, plant and equipment at the Rooty Hill Depot.

- Location: Rooty Hill
- Rate: $44.90 per hour + super
- Dates: ASAP Start – 26 February 2027
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
- Engagement: Casual
About the role:
- Support trades personnel with repair and maintenance activities
- Assist with heavy vehicle and plant tyre removal and fitting
- Carry out greasing, washing and cleaning of vehicles and equipment
- Safely operate vehicles, plant and workshop equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of the workshop floor and equipment
- Assist in the tyre bay when required
What you’ll need:
- HR licence – essential
- Experience removing and fitting wheels and tyres on heavy plant and vehicles
- Heavy plant or vehicle maintenance experience
- Forklift ticket – desirable
This is a hands-on workshop opportunity suited to someone with experience around heavy vehicles, plant, tyres or mechanical maintenance.
