About the Opportunity

An established and highly respected financial services organisation is seeking a Third-Party Risk Analyst to join its Line 2 Risk function. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative and high-performing team responsible for strengthening third-party risk management practices across the business.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, providing risk oversight, challenge, and guidance to support effective governance of key supplier and service provider relationships. The role offers strong exposure to operational risk, resilience, outsourcing obligations, and regulatory compliance within a complex and evolving environment.

This position would suit someone with a solid foundation in risk management who is looking to further develop their career in third-party risk, operational risk, or broader enterprise risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing management and enhancement of the organisation's third-party risk framework.
  • Review and challenge risk assessments, controls, and assurance activities relating to vendors and service providers.
  • Analyse risk data, trends, and emerging issues to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide pragmatic risk advice to business stakeholders and assist them in managing third-party risk obligations.
  • Support governance reporting, risk monitoring, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen risk management practices and organisational resilience.
  • Escalate emerging risks and control weaknesses where appropriate.

About You

We're open to individuals from a variety of risk backgrounds, including operational risk, enterprise risk, technology risk, controls assurance, internal audit, or risk consulting.
You'll ideally bring:

  • 2-5 years' experience in risk management, assurance, controls, audit, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, governance frameworks, and control environments.
  • Exposure to third-party risk, supplier risk, operational resilience, outsourcing, or CPS 230 requirements will be highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, identify themes, and provide meaningful insights rather than simply completing checklist-based reviews.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, control reviews, or assurance activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience gained within financial services, consulting, insurance, banking, superannuation, or another regulated industry is preferred.
