Technical Writer - Short-Term Contract
Swanbank, QLD
Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join a leading beverage manufacturing operation based in Swanbank on a short-term contract.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical documentation within manufacturing, production, engineering, or FMCG environments who can quickly engage with stakeholders and develop clear, accurate operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and training materials for beverage manufacturing and packaging operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to accurately document processes and procedures.
  • Translate technical and operational requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for shop-floor personnel.
  • Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Work with subject matter experts to capture process knowledge and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with site standards, quality requirements, and operational best practices.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or similar role.
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food and beverage, packaging, engineering, or industrial environments highly regarded.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and document control skills.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across multiple departments and levels of the business.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
