About the role:
As the Team Leader you’ll be the welcoming community members, creating a vibrant calendar of programs, and helping bring the IC’s vision to life. You’ll guide a small, experienced, and dedicated team, working together to support Darebin’s diverse communities.
In this role, you’ll help ensure the smooth, day to day operation of the Intercultural Centre and contribute to creating a space where connection and cultural exchange thrive.
You will:
• Oversee the Centre's day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Lead annual program planning aligned with organisational strategy and budget requirements.
• Monitor program outcomes using data and community feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure programs are culturally safe, accessible and responsible to the needs of diverse communities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, community organisations, businesses and partners to strengthen collaboration, generate opportunities and support the Centre’s profile, programs and business development
This position includes some after-hours and weekend work, within a maximum of 152 hours over a four week period.
About you:
• Proven experience managing teams, including casual workforces, with responsibility for rostering, resource allocation, workforce planning, and performance management
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with multicultural communities, Traditional Owners, government agencies, educational institutions, community organisations, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience developing, coordinating and evaluating community programs and initiatives, with the ability to respond to community needs, organisational priorities and emerging opportunities.
• Proven ability to develop and leverage strategic partnerships with external organisations, businesses and community stakeholders to generate new opportunities, strengthen engagement, and support the growth and sustainability of programs and services
