The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Tax Accountant to join an international fund house on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you'll support the delivery of tax reporting services across a broad institutional client base, working on trust distributions, tax calculations, reporting obligations and client deliverables.
This role offers exposure to funds management, superannuation and investment taxation within a highly regarded global financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare trust distributions and taxable income calculations.
- Assist with superannuation and life fund tax calculations and tax returns.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting obligations.
- Maintain client tax profiles and tax reporting data.
- Perform reconciliations between investment systems and accounting ledgers.
- Respond to client and stakeholder queries.
- Support client transitions, projects and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with operational risk and control frameworks.
About You
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
- Background in tax, fund accounting, custody, asset servicing, superannuation or funds management.
- Understanding of trust taxation and investment tax reporting.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
