Our team in Perth require a Talent Acquisition Specialist supporting the recruitment of skilled trades and professionals across Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP), project, shutdowns, and maintenance throughout Western Australia.
LGM Industries is a leading construction and maintenance contractor specialising in structural, mechanical and piping services for the Western Australian resources and energy sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recruitment professional who enjoys building strong candidate relationships, and understands the unique demands of the resourcing sector.
About the Role
As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and securing high-quality talent to support SMP projects and shutdown works.
Working closely with the operations and project teams, you’ll manage end-to-end recruitment while building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates ready to mobilise when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job briefing through to onboarding
- Source and engage skilled blue-collar and white-collar candidates for SMP projects and shutdowns
- Build and maintain talent pools for shutdown personnel, including: Boilermakers, Mechanical and Pipe Fitters, Riggers, Supervisors, Project Coordinators, Estimators
- Conduct phone screens and face to face interviews
- Coordinate pre-employment medicals, VOCs, inductions and mobilisation requirements
- Work closely with operational team to forecast labour requirements
- Develop proactive recruitment strategies to meet peak shutdown demands
- Build strong relationships with potential and current employees
- Maintain accurate candidate records
- Deliver an outstanding candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
About You
You’ll be a motivated recruiter with experience in high-volume industrial recruitment and a passion for connecting great people with great opportunities.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous recruitment or talent acquisition experience within mining, resources, construction or industrial services
- Strong knowledge of SMP, shutdown and maintenance workforces
- Experience recruiting for blue-collar trades
- Excellent sourcing and networking skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously
- High attention to detail and a customer-focused approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to work on site and at our Bunbury office from time to time
Desirable
- Experience with mobilisation and compliance processes
- Knowledge of WA mining sites and shutdown schedules
