Stonemason
- Cut, shape, and install natural stone for various projects.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with WHS requirements.
ZD STONE Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Stonemason to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. The successful candidate will cut, shape, and install natural stone for residential and commercial projects.
Task included:
1. Study plans, drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
2. Cut, shape and polish hard and soft stone blocks and masonry slabs using machines and hand tools.
3. Fabricate and prepare stone components for benchtops, paving, cladding and architectural applications.
4. Install stone products on-site, including checking vertical and horizontal alignment.
5. Construct walls and structures using stone slabs and large masonry blocks.
6. Repair and maintain stone structures as required.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with WHS requirements.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Stonemason, OR AQF Certificate III in Stonemasonry (or equivalent).
2. Proven experience working with natural stone (marble, granite, travertine, etc.).
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
4. Proficiency with stone-cutting machinery and hand tools.
5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. White Card (Construction Induction) preferred.
