About the Role

Gosford Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join its multidisciplinary mental health team. This role is pivotal in delivering psychiatric care to patients across the hospital, including the Emergency Department, medical, and surgical wards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing expert psychiatric consultation and liaison services across inpatient and emergency settings
• Collaborating with general medical teams to support integrated, person-centred care
• Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff and psychiatry trainees
• Contributing to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and culturally safe practices
