Social Media Specialist
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to join a great team in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs on a 6–12 week contract. This is a hands-on role covering content creation, community management, trend analysis and performance reporting across all major platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Write copy and design visual assets, including images, short-form video and infographics
- Build and manage editorial calendars, scheduling daily content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook
- Align content with broader marketing campaigns and business goals
- Respond to comments and direct messages to build audience engagement and loyalty
- Monitor brand mentions and manage public feedback
- Moderate user-generated content to keep channels safe and on-brand
- Track trends, hashtags and platform algorithm changes to keep content relevant
- Research competitor activity and audience behaviour
- Track performance metrics including reach, engagement and click-through rates
- Report on performance to guide future content and marketing decisions
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a social media specialist or similar content role
- Strong copywriting and visual content creation skills
- Confident using scheduling and analytics tools across multiple platforms
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, curious approach to trends and audience behaviour
- Own vehicle required, as the role is based in Melbourne's south-east
