Parklife Metro has been awarded the Sydney Metro SSTOM package, a $5 billion Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project that will transform Western Sydney. This major infrastructure package includes:

The Opportunity - Site engineer
We are seeking a experienced Site Engineer. As Site Engineer, your role is to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards
- Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements
- Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions
- Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes
- Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards
- Ensure works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation
- Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities.
- Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns
- Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, 3-week lookahead programs, etc. as required.
- Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Preferable 2 - 3 years' experience in a construction/engineering environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop relationships with project personnel and external stakeholders to achieve and maintain a collaborative working environment.
- Awareness of budgets and timelines
- A passion for construction
- Ability to read and interpret plans and have a good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering construction techniques
