We have an opportunity for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team.
Working behind the scenes of one of Sydney’s most iconic luxury hotels, you will play an important role in keeping our hotel, facilities and equipment operating safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You will work across daily maintenance, preventative maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring our guests and colleagues experience a hotel that is safe, comfortable and impeccably maintained.
Salary - $79,423
Your day to day
Joining our Engineering team, you will:
Carry out daily maintenance and engineering operations across the entire hotel.
Respond to maintenance requests and attend to guest and colleague requirements in a timely and professional manner.
Complete preventative maintenance across hotel plant, equipment and facilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, minimising disruption to hotel operations and the guest experience.
Ensure all engineering work is completed safely, on time and in compliance with relevant requirements.
Work closely with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
Support project planning and the delivery of maintenance initiatives across the hotel.
Maintain strong records and documentation relating to maintenance activities.
Contribute to a proactive Engineering culture focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
What we need from you
2+ years’ experience in Engineering, Maintenance or a similar role is advantageous.
Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly regarded.
Experience with preventative maintenance and a practical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
A proactive approach to developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload effectively.
Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices.
