Newcastle / Lake Macquarie / Central Coast
Up to $55 per hour + Dual Cab Ute + On-Call Allowance

Join a growing HVAC contractor with a strong workload across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast and Hunter regions.
Due to continued growth within the service division, we are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a close-knit team carrying out predominantly commercial service, maintenance and fault-finding work.

What’s on offer

  • Up to $55 per hour depending on experience

  • Predominantly commercial HVAC service and maintenance
  • Work across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Nelson Bay and the Hunter Valley
  • Standard working hours around 7am–3pm or 8am–4pm
  • Additional overtime available during the busy summer period
  • On-call roster approximately one weekend every 4–5 weeks
  • Additional on-call payment above your normal hourly rate

  • Opportunity to work across a varied range of commercial sites and equipment

The role You’ll be responsible for service, maintenance, breakdowns and fault finding across a range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will have supervisor responsibilities and help schedule the service technicians. 

Typical work will include:

  • Commercial HVAC service and preventative maintenance
  • Fault finding and breakdown repairs
  • Split and ducted air conditioning systems, Cassettes and packaged systems, VRV / VRF systems
  • Light commercial refrigeration including cool rooms, keg rooms and ice machines
  • Working across pubs, clubs, commercial buildings and other customer sites
  • Communicating with customers and the internal service team
  • Completing service documentation and job reports

About you:

We are looking for a qualified technician who is comfortable working independently and providing a high standard of customer service.

You will have: 

  • Australian recognised HVAC / Refrigeration trade qualification and Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Experience carrying out commercial HVAC service and maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with VRV/VRF, split, ducted and cassette systems
  • Refrigeration experience would be highly regarded
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage your own jobs and work autonomously
