About the Firm & The Opportunity
Our is a highly respected, commercial law firm based in the heart of the Sydney CBD. This firm prides itself on delivering sophisticated, practical legal solutions to business owners, private clients, and family offices. 
 
Due to growth, our client is looking to hire an astute Senior Estate Planning Lawyer to join their premier Private Clients and Estate Planning practice.

As this this senior appointment, you will take ownership of sophisticated files, manage key client relationships, and work closely with high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, business owners, and family enterprises. This position offers a direct, transparent pathway to partnership for an ambitious practitioner.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Advice: Formulate and implement comprehensive, sophisticated estate planning strategies for HNW families, corporate business structures, and private clients.
• Drafting Excellence: Draft complex wills, testamentary trusts, powers of attorney, enduring guardianship documents, and business succession agreements.
• Asset Protection & Structuring: Advise on complex asset protection, discretionary trusts, family trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients’ trusted accountants, financial advisors, and private wealth managers to ensure holistic legal solutions.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and actively develop junior lawyers within the team.

 
About You

• An admitted Solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW with a minimum of 8+ years PQE specializing heavily in Estate Planning.
• Proven experience handling complex estate planning structures, business succession planning, and HNW private client matters.
• High-level emotional intelligence (EQ) and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive family dynamics and build deep trust.
• A commercial mindset who enjoys business development and a desire to actively contribute to the growth of the practice (but no need to bring a practice or have a client following)
