Senior Property Lawyer

Our client is a well-established Perth law firm with a thriving property and commercial law team. It takes on matters typically associated with larger firms, acting for ASX-listed, public unlisted and private clients, while keeping the culture of a firm that knows its people.
You’ll be working closely with a senior property lawyer with an extensive track record advising on major transactions and developments across WA. She’s known in the market for strong technical depth and for developing the lawyers around her.
This is a senior role with real ownership: running matters, advising clients directly, and helping grow the team from here.
What’s on offer:
- 33%+ incentive bonus on billings above target. Target is 3x salary, so once you’re over that, the upside is significant
- Manageable billable target of 4.3 hours/day
- Up to 2 days WFH per week, on set days

- Exposure to a broad range of property and commercial matters across ASX-listed, public unlisted and private clients
What you’ll be doing:
- Drafting and negotiating contracts for the sale of land
- Drafting and negotiating leases and associated documentation, and advising on leasing matters
- Running sales and acquisitions from due diligence through to contract negotiation and completion
- Advising on property development matters, including the Strata Titles Act, Duties Act, Contaminated Sites Act and Personal Property Securities Act
- Handling land title and land use issues, including drafting and registration of instruments such as easements and restrictive covenants
- Advising on and drafting general commercial contracts, including sale of business, sale of shares, finance documents and securities
- Managing client files and delivering clear, practical advice
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers as part of a growing team
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years PAE in property law and general commercial law
- Strong analytical, legal research and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both autonomously and in a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to deliver commercial advice to tight timeframes
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
