Are you an experienced Property Accountant ready to take greater ownership of a diverse and growing property portfolio?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established property investment and funds management business, overseeing property-level accounting, financial reporting and controls across a portfolio of managed funds and assets.
Working closely with senior finance, property, asset and fund management stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial information, improving processes and supporting strategic portfolio decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing month-end and year-end close processes across multiple property entities
- Overseeing property-level accounting, including rent-up, recoveries, accruals, prepayments, percentage rent and ad hoc charges
- Preparing and reviewing income and expenditure statements, cash flow reporting and variance analysis
- Coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual property financial reporting
- Managing budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes across the portfolio
- Preparing arrears reporting and providing meaningful commentary to internal stakeholders
- Working closely with external property managers to ensure accurate and timely financial information
The role also provides the opportunity to guide and support external property managers across multiple funds and assets.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Strong knowledge of property-level financial reporting, budgeting and reconciliations
- Experience working across a multi-asset property portfolio or managed fund environment
- Confidence managing deadlines across month-end, year-end and statutory reporting cycles
- Strong Excel skills and experience using property or lease administration systems
- Exposure to MRI or Yardi will be highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and stakeholder communication skills
- A proactive approach to process improvement and financial controls
- The ability to work independently while collaborating across finance and property teams
