Senior Project Support Officer | ICT Projects

Support the delivery, management and governance of diverse ICT projects as a Senior Project Support Officer, working with Program Managers and integrated project teams in a complex Australian Government environment.

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: 12 months with potential 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement: NV1
Closing Date: Thursday 17th September 2026 - 10am Canberra Time

Essential Tasks

• Support Program Managers with the day-to-day management of ICT projects of varying complexity and size.
• Support project delivery, management and governance across a range of ICT initiatives.
• Liaise with stakeholders across multiple business areas in a representational capacity.
• Assist with strategic planning, project management, policy development, priorities and workflows.

Key Criteria

• Experience supporting complex ICT projects and working effectively under limited direction.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement.
• Ability to provide detailed technical, professional and/or policy advice on complex matters.
• Project Management, PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, Risk Management, Benefits Management, DMBOK or equivalent certification is desirable.
