About the role
Smith & Co Recruitment is partnering with an established civil contractor to recruit Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers across a strong pipeline of TMR road and water infrastructure projects.
Based in Brisbane, with additional FIFO and regional Queensland opportunities available, you’ll take ownership across engineering, programming, procurement, subcontractor coordination, QA and commercial delivery.
Whether you’re a Project Engineer ready to step up or an experienced Senior Project Engineer looking for greater project responsibility, these roles offer exposure to major civil infrastructure and clear scope to progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering and construction activities
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and procurement
- Drive project programs, costs, quantities and progress
- Maintain QA documentation, ITPs, RFIs and reporting
- Manage variations and project documentation
- Support safe, compliant and efficient project delivery
- Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer experience
- Civil construction experience across roads, TMR, water or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of QA, programming and project documentation
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and project stakeholders
