Your new companyOur client is a highly regarded residential builder with a longstanding reputation for delivering well-designed, quality custom homes across Melbourne. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are seeking an experienced Senior Production Draftsperson to join their established drafting team and play a key role in the delivery of construction documentation.
Your new roleReporting to the Drafting Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate construction drawings and documentation across a portfolio of residential projects. Working closely with internal departments and external consultants, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to a high technical standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed working drawings and construction documentation using ArchiCAD
- Coordinating and resolving design, compliance and drafting issues throughout the production phase
- Reviewing plans to ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and company standards
- Liaising with estimators, sales consultants, site teams and external consultants
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
- Managing multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting key deadlines
- Contributing to process improvements and drafting best practice initiatives
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will bring strong residential drafting experience and a passion for delivering high-quality construction documentation.
You will possess:
- Previous experience as a Production Draftsperson within the residential construction industry
- Advanced ArchiCAD proficiency
- Strong understanding of Australian building regulations, codes and residential construction methods
- Experience working within project home, volume build or custom residential environments
- Excellent problem-solving and technical coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
