Senior Product Manager, Retirement & Super

The Opportunity

We're seeking a senior product leader to take charge of the fund's superannuation and retirement product strategy in Brisbane. In this pivotal role, you'll drive product evolution, shape governance frameworks, and ensure offerings remain competitive, compliant and member-focused. You'll combine technical expertise with strategic vision, leading a team while directly influencing how the fund serves its members.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the governance, development and ongoing optimisation of retirement and defined benefit product offerings, ensuring they align with member needs and regulatory obligations
• Own product frameworks, policies and procedures that maintain compliance with Retirement Income Covenant requirements, Design and Distribution Obligations and other regulatory standards
• Conduct comprehensive product reviews and benchmarking analysis to identify enhancement opportunities, streamline complexity and strengthen competitive positioning
• Translate technical regulatory requirements, operational constraints and market insights into clear strategic recommendations and actionable delivery plans
• Lead and mentor team members, building product capability across the organisation and establishing yourself as the trusted subject matter expert on retirement and defined benefit matters
• Partner across business units to ensure product features, benefit calculations and member-facing information remain accurate and consistent in all systems and processes
• Prepare governance papers, policy updates and strategic recommendations for executive and board forums

Ideal Experience

• Proven track record in product management and governance within superannuation, with substantial experience overseeing retirement products and defined benefits
• Deep expertise in the superannuation regulatory landscape, including detailed knowledge of Retirement Income Covenant obligations, disclosure frameworks and legislative requirements
• Demonstrated success managing product frameworks, governance cycles and oversight artefacts in highly regulated environments
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset paired with data literacy, excellent written communication and the ability to distil complexity into clear insights
• Experience developing product reporting, performance dashboards and strategic insights for senior leadership and board-level audiences
