Location: Perth, Western Australia

Position: Full-time Senior Pastor

Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation.

We are seeking a faithful and servant-hearted Senior Pastor to lead and shepherd our bilingual congregation while helping fulfil the vision and mission of our church.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary roles are as follows:

1. To help develop and define the objectives of the Church and formulate strategy and policy to achieve these objectives.
2. To provide leadership and equipping to the Mandarin-speaking congregation as part of a growing ministry with a church planting ethos.
3. To train and prepare more lay leaders and families for God’s kingdom by contextualising Mandarin teaching and ministry approaches.
4. To align and affiliate the Church’s vision and strategy of Bread of Life Christian Church in Taipei.
5. To create and promote awareness of the Church and participate in local community outreach programs through partnership with local Christian or community agencies/ organisations for the benefit of the community.
6. To recommend, formulate, manage and implement the Church’s participation with local and overseas Christian agencies and organisations.
7. To provide pastoral care; do visitation; provide trainings; conducting various ceremonies and services and etc to help build a Strong Kingdom Culture; Strong Discipleship; Strong Evangelism Church.
8. To preach biblically sound and culturally relevant sermon in Mandarin.
9. These duties and responsibilities may vary as necessary by the Church. The Church may require the employee to carry out such or other duties within the employee’s skills, competence and training.

About You

You are someone who demonstrates:

1. Appropriate theological and professional education, Christian maturity, and preferably with ministry experience.
2. Strong Christian faith and commitment to ministry
3. Ability to preach and teach in Mandarin (and preferably English)
4. Demonstrated pastoral leadership experience
5. Cross-cultural ministry experience is highly desirable
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
7. Ability to work with diverse groups including migrants, students, and temporary residents
