North Shore Sydney | Local Government | Immediate StartAn opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Ranger to join a busy metropolitan council on a temporary contract basis. This night shift position plays a key role in maintaining community safety, investigating complaints, and leading after-hours compliance operations across the local government area.This role is suited to a proactive and confident Ranger with strong enforcement experience and the ability to work autonomously while providing leadership and support to the wider team.Your New Role
- Lead and coordinate after-hours Ranger operations.
- Respond to community complaints relating to noise, parking, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles and public safety.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence relating to breaches of relevant legislation.
- Issue warnings, notices and infringement penalties where appropriate.
- Prepare reports, statements and prosecution briefs.
- Liaise with NSW Police, emergency services and internal stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to Rangers and other field staff.
- Participate in emergency management and after-hours response activities.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous local government Ranger experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant NSW legislation and compliance procedures.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution and investigation skills.
- Experience preparing evidence and enforcement documentation.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Ability to work night shift hours and respond to after-hours incidents.
