About the Role

Provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care within rural and regional communities across Queensland. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive healthcare services while supporting junior clinicians and contributing to positive patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services across diverse patient populations.
  • Manage urgent and emergency presentations within scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement treatment and management plans.
  • Facilitate referrals to specialist services and coordinate continuity of care.
  • Provide preventative healthcare, health promotion, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with nursing, allied health, and visiting medical teams.
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to Junior Doctors.
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
  • Contribute to safe, effective, and evidence-based healthcare delivery across rural and regional services.

What You'll Need

  • Fellowship with a recognised College and Full Medicare Billing Rights (unless otherwise stated).
  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification completed within the last three years.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting Junior Doctors.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills across acute and primary healthcare presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Australian working rights.
