Join Deloitte's External Audit team in Darwin as a Senior Manager/Director and take on a role with real leadership scope, client impact and a clear path to broader influence.

What will your typical day look like?

From planning through to completion, you'll lead complex external audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio, bringing together technical judgement, commercial oversight and strong delivery discipline. You'll guide teams through key milestones, review work to a high standard, and help maintain quality across every stage of the audit.

A big part of the role is building trusted client relationships and helping shape outcomes that go beyond compliance. You'll work closely with directors and partners, contribute to presentations and proposals, and support engagement economics while using Deloitte's digitally enabled audit approach to deliver a smarter, more insightful experience.

Working in this role means balancing leadership, coaching and continuous improvement. Alongside overseeing delivery, you'll support the development of your team, lift capability on technical matters, and contribute to the evolution of our audit methodology and broader practice priorities.

About the team

Our Audit & Assurance team helps organisations build confidence in their reporting, navigate risk and respond to a changing business environment. In Darwin, you'll be part of a growing external audit practice known for quality, strong client relationships and a digitally enabled approach that brings deeper insight and greater impact to the work we do.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• 7+ years of experience in external audit, including experience leading teams and managing engagements

• CA qualification, or an equivalent professional accreditation

• A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, commerce or a related field

• Strong knowledge of audit methodology, financial reporting and audit quality requirements

• Confidence building relationships with clients and senior stakeholders

• Strong communication, leadership and coaching skills

• The ability to manage competing priorities and engagement economics in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm

• Current Senior Manager or Director experience
