About the role:
- Take ownership of and expand the Liquor Licensing practice.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients on liquor licensing, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Handle complex liquor licensing applications, disputes, and audits.
- Advise clients on risk management and regulatory frameworks.
- Lead negotiations and represent clients in licensing hearings and hearings before regulatory authorities.
- Mentor and develop junior team members within the practice.
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape the practice's growth strategy.
The ideal candidate:
- 10+ years’ experience in liquor licensing, regulatory law, or related areas.
- Proven client-facing skills with a track record in business development.
- Strong leadership ability, capable of mentoring a small team.
- A strategic, commercial thinker with a collaborative approach.
- Eager to contribute to the growth of a boutique practice.
